Summer is just about here, and that means family vacation time is upon us! We’ve done a fair amount of traveling since Maddie was born- mostly by car, and some by air. I don’t claim to be an expert, but through trial and error, we’ve found a few products that are key to making our trips a little bit less stressful. So whether you’re a new parents, or a parents with a LO with special needs, here are a few of our favorite thing.

Note: I have not received any type of reimbursements for these reviews. These products are just too helpful not to share.

81ZhhCbwIiL._SX522_Problem: Your little one has sensitivities to temperature and refuses to eat anything if it’s not warm, but you don’t always have easy access to an outlet for a bottle warmer and/or a microwave.

Solution: Tommee Tippee Travel Bottle and Food Warmer

Reason to love it:

  • Does not require an electric source. All you need is hot water.
  • Keeps water hot for 8+ hours.
  • Works with any size bottle, sippy cup, etc. I even heated a container of Chef Boy R D ravioli in it- although that took some doing.
  • Note: This may be my favorite product of all time.

UnknownProblem: Your little one doesn’t have the skill or muscle necessary to sit up in a standard restaurant high chair or other ‘standard’ seating options.

Solution: Summer Infant Pop ‘N Sit Portable Booster Seat

Reasons to love it:

  • Use it anywhere: Restaurants, hotel rooms, outdoors, visiting a friend’s home, etc.
  • Comfortable for little ones with low muscle tone. The seat cradles them just a bit, and has enough support that they can sit up and feel as though they are part of things.
  • May be placed on a chair or booth safely.

41INldxMUsLProblem: Washing bottles on the go is a pain in the rear end, as is remembering to collect all your tools before you leave home.

Solution: OXO Tot On-the-Go Travel Drying Rack with Bottle Brush

Find it here

 Reason to love it:

  • Brush and convenient drying area all stored within a small box that easy to store and takes up a small amount of space in your luggage.
  • Once closed it locks all water inside, so you don’t have to worry about leaking water while traveling.
  • A sample size dishwasher detergent will also fit in the box if you arrange things properly.

Solution: Pacific Play Tents Lil Nursery- Portable Play Tent and Sun Shelter

Reasons to love it:

  • Super easy to put up (this coming from a person who has very limited mechanical abilities). I can put it up in 2-3 minutes, and take it down in even less time.
  • When I was desperate for a little pool time last summer I packed up this tent, a Boppy and a small fan. Mads slept in it for hours.
  • Offers a little bit of privacy if you need to nurse at the pool, beach, etc.
